Hachette India will be publishing the memoir of Indra Nooyi, the trailblazing former CEO of PepsiCo, on 28 September 2021The much-anticipated memoir, titled My Life in Full: Work, Family, and Our Future, offers insight and a call-to-action from one of the world’s most-admired business leaders on how our society can really blend work and family – and advance women – in the twenty-first century.

My Life in Full will be published in the US by Portfolio, an imprint of Penguin Publishing Group. In the UK by Piatkus Books, an imprint of the Little, Brown Book Group, a Hachette division, alongside Hachette India in India.

Born in Madras and graduated from Madras Christian College, Nooyi studied management at IIM Calcutta before moving to Yale University in the US for a master’s degree. In the book, she shares the events that have shaped her life and her vision of how they relate to our world now – from her childhood and college days in India in the 1960s and ’70s to business school in Calcutta and at Yale as an immigrant, to her ascent as a rare female consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and as a corporate strategist who soon leaped into the senior executive ranks at Motorola and ASEA Brown Boveri. The book also offers an intimate look inside PepsiCo, detailing how Nooyi steered the iconic American company toward healthier products and reinvented its environmental profile without curbing financial performance – despite resistance at every turn.

My Life in Full includes Nooyi’s unvarnished take on the competing pressures on her attention and time and what she learned as a leader along the way.

Thomas Abraham, Managing Director, Hachette India, says, ‘We are delighted to be publishing Indra Nooyi’s book, which will undoubtedly be the Book of the Year. This is that unusual book that works at so many levels – as a celebration of an extraordinary life, as an emotional memoir, a riveting business book, a manifesto for women’s empowerment, as a path-finder for family and work-life balance – and, unsurprisingly, given her amazing talent, it is truly inspirational across all those levels.’
