Bengaluru: Bengaluru’s cocktail lovers, mark your calendars—this April 16th, the iconic PCO Delhi is taking over ParTTwo Bengaluru for a one-night-only experience that blends craft mixology, inventive culinary pairings, and immersive storytelling. Known for transforming cocktail culture in India, PCO (short for Pass Code Only) is bringing its much-acclaimed menu, The Forbidden, to the heart of Bengaluru’s buzzing Vittal Mallya Road.
PCO has long been a name synonymous with speakeasy charm and boundary-pushing creativity. This exclusive bar takeover promises to be more than just a night of great drinks—it’s a carefully choreographed experience where philosophy meets flavour, and cocktails become conversation.
The Forbidden Cocktails: Culture, Controversy, and Craft
At the center of this collaborative event is The Forbidden, PCO’s latest menu concept. Every cocktail on the menu is inspired by an ingredient, story, or theme that has, at some point in history or culture, been considered taboo or restricted. The result? A tasting experience that’s layered, edgy, and rooted in storytelling.
PCO will be serving four signature cocktails from this menu for the Bengaluru crowd:
Not for Check-in – A Pistola Joven cocktail that combines kaffir lime distillate with coconut syrup, inspired by India’s curious airline ban on carrying coconuts in hand luggage.
Eve’s Choice – Pistola Reposado infused with apple juice and jalapeño—a bold nod to the archetypal “forbidden fruit” from biblical tales.
Pass the Dutchie– A Pistola Joven and white wine blend with jasmine distillate and orange marmalade, referencing prohibition-era drinking traditions and coded cultural references.
The Culinary Collaboration: Small Plates, Big Flavours
To pair with these bold drinks, Chef Karan of ParTTwo is serving up a specially curated small plates menu that celebrates fun, seasonal produce, and ‘smashable’ flavours. Each dish complements the intensity and uniqueness of the cocktails without overpowering them.
Sour Fruit Salad – A tropical riot of Bengaluru’s seasonal sour fruits dressed with jammy palm sugar and chili, perfect for the summer palate.
Crab Dip with Mini Brioche Buns – A decadent, limited-edition bite of blue swimmer crab paired with warm, buttery brioche buns.
Mango & Stracciatella – A fresh medley of early-season mangoes and creamy stracciatella that offers just the right amount of indulgence and contrast.
“Great cocktails deserve equally great food. This menu focuses on balance—flavour-forward but light enough to let the cocktails shine,” Chef Karan explains.
More Than a Menu: An Immersive Night Awaits
From the signature scroll-style menu to the bar team’s interactive storytelling approach, every detail is designed to engage the senses and spark curiosity. PCO’s takeover is not just a pop-up—it’s a portal into a curated experience, inspired by the speakeasy culture it helped popularize in India.
True to that ethos, this event isn’t open for walk-ins. Guests must call ParTTwo for a reservation and receive a passcode to unlock entry—just as PCO loyalists in Delhi are used to.
Reservations are essential, and space is limited for this one-night-only affair.
