Spread the love

Bengaluru: Kubo is committed to creating inspired and elevated Asian dishes using the freshest seasonal produce available. This monsoon, Kubo is taking a contemporary approach to traditional Straits-Chinese cuisine with twists that lift the already flavourful dishes to a different level.

The word “Peranakan” refers to descendants of Chinese immigrants who settled in the Malay Archipelago between the 15th and 17th centuries. The intermingling with local Malays produced a unique culture which naturally influenced their cuisine, and thus “Peranakan” originated which blends Chinese, Malay, and other influences.

Peranakan interpretations of Malay food are distinctly tangy, aromatic, spicy and herbal. Our highlights include Hainanese Chicken Rice, Gulai Ikan, Sambal Prawn, Prawn & Olive Fried Rice, among many others. We at Kubo, are very excited to bring these unique flavours to Bangalore
