Bengaluru: This August, Conrad Bengaluru is turning the spotlight on Myanmar with a rare three-day dining event that promises to be one of the city’s most memorable culinary experiences. From 22nd to 24th August, the hotel welcomes celebrated Chef Phyu-Cyn—better known as Chef Goo Goo—for an exclusive Burmese pop-up in collaboration with Dean With Us. The journey begins with an intimate dinner at Mikusu, Conrad Bengaluru, and culminates in a vibrant Sunday brunch at Caraway Kitchen.
Chef Goo Goo brings with her a rich Anglo-Burmese heritage and Eurasian upbringing, which infuse her dishes with authenticity, creativity, and global influences. Having cooked in Paris, Bangkok, Goa, and Geneva, she is known for translating the spirit of Myanmar into inventive plates that blend comfort, technique, and storytelling. Every dish at Mikusu, Conrad Bengaluru will be a reflection of her personal journey—rooted in memory, identity, and compassion.
The event is curated by Akanksha and Rupali Dean, founders of Dean With Us, known for creating cross-cultural culinary experiences across Asia. Their partnership with Conrad Bengaluru ensures this pop-up goes beyond dining to become an immersive celebration of culture, storytelling, and evolving food traditions.
Guests can look forward to two distinct experiences across the three days. On the first two evenings, Mikusu, Conrad Bengaluru will present a specially crafted tasting menu for dinner, designed to showcase the depth and versatility of Burmese cuisine. The final day will see Caraway Kitchen at Conrad Bengaluru transform into a feast of flavors for Sunday brunch, offering a curated selection from Chef Goo Goo’s repertoire.
