Have you been too busy to plan a Diwali menu? Or, are you still scared of entering a restaurant due to the pandemic? It’s ok! I get it. Raahi has it all sorted for you. Chef Laxmi Tulsani and Chef Ritu Bahl along with Conosh and Raahi have curated a Diwali Menu as a part of their Episode 8 of #kitchenstories Season 1. The special Diwali menu that can be dined in on or delivered brings in the best of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian North Indian cuisine and also street food.

This food menu not only talks eloquently but it never lies or hides the truth of Indian recipes. Hence what Raahi Diwali menu holds forth on is through its delicate Biryanis, elusive Dal Malkanis, and piquant Seekh Kebabs.

The Piquant Seekh Kebabs

Seekh Kebab is something I cannot get enough of. And, not many places make good ones. The seekh kebab in this menu is what a balanced spice blend tastes like. That blend had sufficient heat, just like how I like it, a good mix of warm spices especially pepper that knocks the throat and a hit of tartness in the form of Amchur. Perfectly grilled, juicy no excess oil left me craving for more.

The Humble Butter Chicken

Luscious chicken pieces swathed in an utterly buttery blend of cream, tomatoes, and fragrant spices are the right combination for their Mirchi and Pudina Paratha. Grilled in the elated heat of the clay tandoor, odorous and seasoned by the smoke from the hot coals holding just the required red color, the temptation to add just a bit more is overwhelming. The trick behind this somewhat spiced recipe lay in getting the erratic amalgamation of the tangy tomatoes and opulent dairy consistencies right.

The generous Dal Makhani

Makhani means buttery, and this dish honors the name. Loads of fresh milk and cream, tempered ghee left me drowning in this fragrant concoction and indulging and forgetting about my expanding waistline.

The Non-Vegetarian offering comprises of Old Delhi style Butter Chicken, Pudina Paratha, Old Railway Mutton Curry, Green Chilli Paratha and Dum Biryani and more.

The Vegetarian menu comprises of Traditional Paneer Makhni, Mirchi Paratha, Amritsari Chole Kulche, Pickle chili, Dal Makhni, Onion Ghee Pulao, Vegetable Dum Biryani, and more.

Dessert menu comprises of Kala Jamun Cheese Cake, Hazelnut Praline, Kaju Katli Macaron Sandwich with Carrot Crème.

This Diwali menu is served from the 13th – 16th of November, 2020 for both dine-in and delivery.
