Bangalore: BLR Brewing Co., a microbrewery in South Bangalore and Project Mishram, a progressive Carnatic fusion band have launched their first collaborative brew Loco Coko Stout – a fusion of Filter Coffee with Cherries. It is inspired by the fusion of two of their songs, Loco Coko w, which is all about filter coffee, and Sakura, whichs about Cherry blossoms and spring and that are how Loco Coko stout beer was introduced.
Talking of the flavour, it is stout, has coffee and chocolate from the roasted malts, and is infused with filter Kaapi and subtle hints of cherry. The result is a beautifully balanced and uniquely delicious stout that is perfect for sipping on a cold winter night. This limited edition will be available only for a limited time at the JP Nagar branch of BLR Brewing Co.
The space is spread across two floors, indoors and an imposing rooftop to enjoy the breezy weather of Bangalore. The brewery also has 6 in-house variants to offer – Belgian WIT, Farmhouse, Hefeweizen (a type of Weiss beer), Alphonso Ale, Nitro Stout and Nelson IPA brewed by Head Brewer Umang Nair, expertise in hand-crafted beers.
