Ranga Shankara will hold a literary event on writer Jayant Kaikini’s latest Kannada book, ‘Anarkhaliya Safety-pin‘. The event will celebrate the book, which is a collection of short stories. The session will take place in the Ranga Shankara foyer at 11 AM on Sun, 26 Sept 2021, with all COVID-19 guidelines in place.
Jayant Kaikini, a renowned Kannada writer, poet, and lyricist, will talk with writer Deepa Phadke. The discussion will be followed by an interactive Qand A session between the author and the audience. The event will conclude with a book signing by Jayant Kaikini.
Copies of ‘Anarkhaliya Safety-pin’ will be available for purchase at the Ranga Shankara book store. The event is free of cost. Seating will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The ‘Pustaka Sambhrama’/’Celebrating Books’ series is part of Ranga Shankara’s ‘RS Connect,’ a program launched during the lockdown to bring theatre, music, dance sessions, readings, poetry, and talks to audiences in the Ranga Shankara foyer space. ‘RS Connect’ allows audiences, artists, and artists to come together and engage with each other free of cost.
