About Balcony Stories
Launched in 2020, Balcony Stories is a Bengaluru-based publication exploring food, travel, culture, people and everyday living. Through restaurant features, interviews, destination stories and lifestyle coverage, we look at the places, ideas and experiences that shape life in the city and beyond.
What we cover
Our food coverage explores restaurants, chefs and the stories behind the table. Our travel features take readers from nearby escapes to destinations further afield. Across culture, entertainment, business and living, we introduce the people and ideas behind the headlines.
Ownership and editorial leadership
Balcony Stories is owned by Meghana Harikumar and Gagan Tallam. Meghana Harikumar is the founder and editor of Balcony Stories Media Network. She spent ten years working as a full-time journalist before moving into marketing and social media. Her editorial interests span food, culture, travel and the people whose work gives places their character.
